Night Photography Class

Anyone with a digital camera that has manual settings, a tripod, and a flashlight can do this.

This is 100% in a classroom and in 3 hours you will learn the most important skills to do night photography with the equipment you currently own.

You’ll learn how to manually focus and get a properly exposed image in addition to:

  • Basic astro-landscape
  • Auroras
  • Milky ways
  • Lightning
  • Fireworks
  • Painting with light
  • Basic post-processing
  • Important general tips
  • Equipment recommendations

I am very hands-on and I make sure you know how to do all this with your own camera and lens.

The Canadian prairies have amazing night skies and this is your chance to make some magic with your camera in your own backyard.

Classes are limited to 8 students in Banff, or 12 in Calgary.

This is an infield night photography class. First, we go over the basics of night photography, then we head to 3 different amazing abandoned houses in the area to shoot at night and do painting with light. A camera with manual settings & ability to change lenses and a tripod are required. Contact me if you are unsure about your camera. Max 6 students.
